Getting started with art can be daunting but this free toolkit will give you a practical framework and boost your confidence.
Written by I Picture This and the Wallace Collection in consultation with NAPA (National Activity Providers Association), the toolkit guides carers and Activity Coordinators in planning and delivering cheap, accessible, person-centred art activities.
I visit care homes, day centres and community venues in and around Hertfordshire.
Each visit encourages people to look at art, form ideas and share them with others. The interactive session is designed to meet the interests of the participants and can be tailored to complement the work of visiting artists and art therapists.
Bespoke training sessions help staff and volunteers gain confidence and develop skills for delivering a vibrant and varied arts programme.
Take some time out with art in a staff wellbeing sessions: an opportunity to slow down, re-energise and think creatively.
Sessions available in person or online.
I can help you work with organisations that support older people.
With 20 years experience of museum work in a variety of care settings, Catherine can help you to design, deliver and evaluate an accessible dementia-friendly programme for delivery on- or off-site.
I also work with frontline museum and gallery staff to help them feel confident in welcoming people living with dementia into your museum or gallery.
